| “The Lord spoke to me in a dream and said, “Get up, get out and make it happen. It is not coming to you. Even within your limited availability, you can do more.” -Evangelist Dr. Betty J. Robbins Dr. Robbins’ Family Dr. Robbins is blessed to be married to Herbert and they are highly blessed with two daughters Karen Spidell and Rhonda & Kenny and three grandchildren, and a son, Sean & CHeryl Robbins. Dr. Robbins’ Testimony The Lord urged Dr. Robbins to begin Big God! Big Praise! Ministries after she presented a sermon in September 2000 entitled, “BIG GOD! BIG PRAISE!”, using Psalms 145:3. Dr Robbins said, “The Lord, later spoke to me in a dream and said, “Get up, get out and make it happen. It is not coming to you. Even within your limited availability, you can do more.” However, it does not stop there. “One night, about a month later, I could not go to sleep. God said to get up and get your Bible. After I had done that, I went to my usual study area. When I sat down, God said to open the Bible and point. When I pointed, I was not looking at the book of the Bible or the scripture. When I looked up and saw that my finger rested on Psalms 145:3, I was amazed! This gave me additional confirmation that this ministry is ordained of God!” God’s Awesome Blessings Dr. Robbins is a part-time professor at a Bible college and teaches such classes as “Teach with Success” (a teachers’ training class), “Survey of the Bible”, “Old and New Testaments”, counseling classes, and other applicable classes. She is involved in the betterment of her community (block club, theatre group), as well as the author of two published books, “God Talk” and “So, You Want To Get Married, ‘Eh.” In 2000, God entrusted this humble woman of God to become an ordained minister, even though she has been preaching long before that ordination. After attending four colleges over a period of about 23 years, the following degrees were obtained: Associates in Business Management/University of Akron; BA in Business Management, Malone College/Canton OH; Bachelors in Christian Education from Berean Bible Institute, Akron OH; Masters in Christian Education (Magna Cum Laude), and lastly, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate in Christian Education & Christian Counseling - both Masters & Doctorate from International Apostolic University of Grace & Truth in Indianapolis IN. After receiving her Doctorate, she received the following commendations: • Letter of recognition from the late Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones • Included in the 2004 publication of the American Biographical Institute (ABI) – Raleigh NC (1) Who’s Who in Education and (2) Who’s Who in Professional Business Women. • Included in the 2004 publication of the International Biographical Centers (IBC) – Cambridge, England (1) Who’s Who in Education and (2) Who’s Who in the World of Women. These publications are available in the Library of Congress, as well as public and religious libraries. God’s Passion Flows Dr. Robbins retired from a fortune 500 company as a Compliance Auditor to go into full-time ministry. She loves Jesus and her utmost desire is to please Him by letting her light shine so that others may come into the fold. This is obvious when one is in her presence. The love of Jesus flows through this dynamic but humble minister. She loves God’s people and shows deep compassion for them. Additionally, she loves to study the Bible, memorize scripture, apply the Bible, and enthusiastically share it with others! You cannot help but to be touched by her excitement in the Lord when you are in the presence of this blessed woman of God! It is catching! Before you leave her presence, you are excited in the Lord, too! Her Hobbies History (Bible & Other), the arts, writing poems, songs, short stories and reading (walk/jog too,) A Sharing Ministry Dr. Robbins thank God for the gifts that He has given to her and uses those gifts to give Him glory. She has spoken in different churches in Ohio and other states and wants to share these gifts with your various organizational occasions, including your anniversaries, workshops, seminars, special and regular services, as well as non profit fashion shows, and other occasions. |
